Certifications and Warranty

Narda-MITEQ attained its original ISO 9001 registration in June 1993, when fewer than 1500 companies were registered. ISO 9001 has since become a globally recognized standard for quality for commercial products. Nationally, it was accepted by an ever-increasing number of government agencies in place of long-standing military specifications covering quality and inspection criteria. Among those were MIL-Q-9858 and MIL- I-45208. This is no longer true. AS9100 is now the Quality Management Standard being required for Aircraft, Space and Defense.

In May 2010 Narda-MITEQ achieved AS9100 registration, expanding our scope and commitment to include the Aircraft, Space and Defense Industry. Narda-MITEQ is now registered to AS9100 Rev B as well as ISO9001:2008 by National Quality Assurance USA (NQA), an accredited registrar of the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB). NQA performs Quality System audits at Narda-MITEQ every six months, assuring continued compliance. Additionally, internal audits, management reviews and monthly quality reports assure the Quality Management System is continually improving at Narda-MITEQ.

The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.

Most of Narda-MITEQ's components are available as RoHS compliant, meeting the requirements of the RoHS Directive when indicted RoHS compliant in our literature and on our website. If your parts require RoHS compliancy, please indicate as RoHS compliant when you place your order.

The WEEE directive requires that the product must be marked with a Do Not Landfill mark, date code, and name of producer. TAC (Technical Adaptation Committee) and the Cenelec standards body created the graphical, which is the crossed out wheel bin with a bar underneath it that indicates that the product was placed on the market after August 13, 2005.

Narda-MITEQ conforms to the WEEE directive and marks required individual products with the WEEE label as required.

The CE Marking is the symbol as shown at the left of this page. The letters "CE" are the abbreviation of a French phrase which literally means "European Conformity". The term initially used was "EC Mark" and it was officially replaced by "CE Marking" in the Directive 93/68/EEC in 1993. "CE Marking" is now used in all EU official documents.

All Narda-MITEQ products requiring the CE conformity, comply and are marked as required by the European Union Directive.
